Nineteen baby boys were born in a row over a 62-hour period at one Minneapolis hospital this weekend, KARE 11 reported.

"Sometimes it seems like it comes in waves, but not usually that many in a row," said Dr. Samantha Hoffman at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview.

Around 5 p.m. last Friday, a one little boy was born at the hospital. Then another – and "they just kept coming," according to the TV station.

"I actually delivered baby 18 and realized that the number had been pretty high, and we went out and found that it had been 18 babies," Hoffman said.

When one more boy was born, the tally came to a total of 19. Altogether, they weighed 115 pounds.

The streak ended at 7:30 a.m. Monday when baby girl Ladan Guled was born.

"The probability of this happening, at this hospital, over a year's time, is one over 200," said Math Professor Larry Gray from the University of Minnesota.
